8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?
Lower body because it's easier for me, but upper body because it's a challenge. I find myself working out my upper body more often because it's not as strong as my lower half, but I enjoy working out my legs more.
9. Protein powder or food with protein?
I don't love the taste of protein powder and I don't like consuming things that are artificial or processed. I'd rather get my protein with my food, but I'll take protein powder if needed.
10. Lunges or squats?
Squats! Oh my goodness, I can't stand lunges. I don't know if it's because my knees are bad or if they just aren't strong enough, but lunges really hurt my knees. I try to avoid them whenever possible.
11. Sweet or salty?
Mmm salty! Especially when it's paired with vinegar. Don't get me wrong, I have a huge sweet tooth, but I prefer salty and sour flavours.
12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?
A little bit of both. I can't workout in baggy outfits, so most of my gymwear is fitted and kind of cute. But you'll never see me go to the gym with my make-up perfect, my hair done nicely and a cute little outfit on. I'm there for business!!
13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?
I've never tried body pump before, but I think I'd prefer it to heavy lifting. I'm all about the reps, people!
14. Yoga or Pilates?
Both! They're both so beneficial and fun in their own way. I love yoga for the stretch, but pilates is an incredible workout for your core. I can't choose just one! They both compliment eachother perfectly.
15. Nike or Adidas?
Nike. I'm not really a fan of Adidas clothing or shoes.
16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?
Running outdoors! There's so much more to see and so many places to go when you're outdoors. I love trail running or running with my dog outside. Plus it's kind of fun to go exploring and now stare blankly at a TV screen or out a window.
17. Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
I've never been to either one. Sadly, Canada doesn't have very many of either and neither one are located close to where I live. It's my goal to someday visit both!
18. Summer or Winter Olympics?
I like watching the summer olympics much better than the winter ones. I like watching gymnastics, diving, and most importantly...EQUESTRIAN!
19. Exercises classes or Exercise videos?
Exercise classes, for sure! I love the social aspect of exercise classes and they really help push you to your limit. I find exercise videos do the opposite. If I'm working out by myself at home, I'm much more likely to quit or not give it my best effort.
20. Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Can I say raw veggies? I prefer raw veggies with a bit of dip, but I guess if I had to choose, I'd say roasted veggies. They have much more flavour than steamed.
