This is a bit weird and heavy, but here goes....

Posted by Craig At Balanced Immune Health Healthy Living Professional

I'm a news junkie. I can hardly go anywhere without a radio to listen to NPR or a laptop so I can read online newspapers, gossip sites, Huffington Post, whatever I can find.

My question: Does the constant stream of news...especially the kind of seriously consequential news that's been happening over the past several years (war, terrorism, economic meltdown, right v. left, climate change, Tiger Woods!!)...impact physical health and well-being?

I hope a lot of people jump in on this one.

r u familiar with the Law of Attraction?

I tend to keep myself detached from new stories because I do believe my health and well-being can be affected.  Tragic stories tend to hang with because I have a tendency to imagine if something like that happened to a family member or whatnot.

In terms of the economy, I try not to look at the markets these days.  I have enough stress with my work, and seeing a lot of red numbers compounds my stress levels.

I need to put more time and effort into relaxation techniques to combat the effects of stress.

Totally agree. I haven't looked at my 401(k) for a couple years. I ask my wife not to tell me anything either when she looks at it.
