I have some exciting news to share {especially for you local readers out there}. It’s no secret that I love wine… and social gatherings…. and the Queen City. Well, one event will bring all of those things together: Thirsty Girl Leslie Sbrocco + Southern Women’s Conference + Charlotte, NC = One fabulous time. Sept 16th-19th. Be there.
Thirsty Girl LIVE! will be coming to Charlotte as part of a 20 city event tour with Leslie. Leslie will also be leading a lively a wine and food pairing on the Cooking stage at the Southern Women’s Conference. Women with an interest in food and wine can expect to connect with each other and be inspired to live life to the fullest, as Sbrocco shares her wit, enthusiasm and passion for “being a Thirsty Girl.”
Just a bit about Thirsty Girls….
The new social network Thirsty Girl was formed in 2010 by long time business partners, Leslie Sbrocco, a nationally-recognized wine and lifestyle expert from Sonoma, CA, and Gail Spangler, a marketing, media and television consultant who now lives in Shawnee, Kansas. Sbrocco is an Emmy-award winning television host on the west coast PBS Show “Check Please Bay Area,” and regular guest on NBC’s Today Show. Her book, Wine for Women, won the Georges DuBoeuf Best Wine Book of the Year award. Thirsty Girls was started to bring women together who have a love for good food, good drink and good adventures. The official Thirsty Girl motto is “Life. Drink it up.”
Sbrocco has spent more than a decade in her dream job — getting paid to eat and drink around the world. On her journeys she discovered there are hundreds of thousands of “Thirsty Girls” who want to connect with others “online and off” about their passions in life; be it family, career, charity work or simply finding a great Chardonnay. So she started Thirsty Girl to bring all these women together in a fun, unpretentious yet informative setting.
I can’t tell you how EXCITED I am to meet this woman! She speaks my language. The idea behind Thirsty Girl really hits home with me, and I’m sure with many of you. Who doesn’t want to be that woman chasing her dreams, following passions and creating amazing friendships along the way?
