It’s hard to believe that I’m sitting in my parent’s house looking out over the lake while I’m writing this update. Seven short months ago (nearly eight, now), I left Canada to embark on the biggest adventure of my life. Now, I’m back, but I’m not here to stay: I’m passing through on my way to more incredible experiences.

Restored my body to complete hormonal, adrenal & nutritional balance
Lived in England
Graduated with Honours from my Journalism Degree
Travelled through Europe
Visited Hong Kong (not once, but twice!)
Hiked through the jungle
Made friends with feral monkeys
Learned to drive a Scooter
Explored ancient Balinese temples
I’ve also met some incredible people and cooked some incredible meals along the way, which I’ll be happy to share with you — but not quite yet. Because today I’m driving down from Montreal to Boston to go apartment hunting with my boyfriend. He’s starting his master’s degree and I’m going to be working, but in my “spare” time I’ll be studying to become a holistic nutritionist, which has been a dream of mine for years.
It’s amazing what happens when you dare to chase your dreams. I never thought I’d be brave enough to travel so far from home; I never thought I’d be able to make a career out of my passion, but there I went, and here I am now! You’re so much stronger than you think you are.
I’m going to get a posting schedule up so that the recipes and experiences can start pouring in, but in the meantime, it’s wonderful to be back, and I hope you’ve all been happy and well!
