Can you think of anything more appropriate for a crampy woman?!
Aside from the obvious fact that it tastes awesome, there are also lots of great benefits to eating real dark chocolate consisting of at least 72-86% cacao and healing flavonoids (milk chocolate doesn’t count):
Possibly inhibits cancer
Reduces the risk of heart disease
Prevents hardening of the arteries
Lowers high blood pressure
Treats liver disorders
Slows down the aging process with its antioxidants
Boosts brain power and improves memory
Acts as a natural mood booster
Contains magnesium which can control PMS and make Aunt Flow more tolerable (seriously!)
Of course, I had a piece immediately.
There’s nothing better than foods that taste good and are good for you too!
Are you a chocolate lover? Believe it or not, I never really liked chocolate until about a year or so ago. Now I find that there’s nothing better than a piece of chocolate (and maybe a glass of wine) in the evening.
I heart chocolate – one of my splurges every once in a while, especially with a glass of red wine – YUMMY! I love dark chocolate and throw some nuts or peanut butter in every once in a while and I am in chocolate heaven. I love to make dark chocolate bark with pistachios for a dinner party dessert – people rave about it for days afterwards. My UPS guy drops off wine club shipments. If he could master bringing chocolate life would be perfect:)
What a fun surprise! Dark chocolate is my excuse when I want something sweet – I can justify that it is good for me and tastes good too. I have also used that excuse this week because I have been drinking red wine every night (my other excuse is that I was in Italy and shared a bottle with my colleagues from work)
