The PASSIVITY of HOPE… and why I didn’t cry when Obama was elected.

To hope, is to dream. To close your eyes and imagine a better time. A better place.
To hope, is to pray. To bow down and ask for another chance. A better chance.
To hope is to excuse oneself from the necessity to act.
I hope, and therefore it will be, does NOT turn dreams - or prayers - into reality.
The danger of hope is that it does not require action. Now, more than ever, hope needs to get turned into action. Desire, into commitment and sacrifice. And belief... belief that things will change. the belief that "Yes we can" be the ever burning fuel that keeps us going.
Whatever you choose to fight for... don't just hope for it. Actually fight for it.
