The Negative Effects Of Dieting

To have a better understanding of the negative effects of dieting, you may need to have better knowledge of few of the variables that are met with the human body that ensures whether dieting results in better or worse.

1. Calories You need calories to go about your everyday activities and proper functioning of the body functions. If you have excess of calories even while dieting (eg. by eating lot of butter) the fat percentage of the body will increase. If you do not eat enough calories then your body will feel weak and tired all the time.

2. Carbohydrates:
The bad effect of mindless dieting, when we talk about the carbohydrates needs of the body, can be observed when you do not fully understand the difference between the good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates provide energy to the human body to have the strength to carry out physical activities. Bad carbohydrates are found in all foods that are sugary, carbonated drinks and sweets. To make sure that dieting does not have any negative impact on your health you must have small servings of rice, corn, whole grain, cereals to provide your body with the good carbohydrates.

4. Protein:
Proteins are important for the production of red blood cells. It is also essential to manage the enzymes and the hormones. It is recommended that ten or twenty percent of the calories had every day should have proteins. Protein rich foods are eggs, cheese, milk and meat. You must include small portion of food having proteins in them like boiled eggs and a glass of tones milk. Having no proteins in your diet will have negative effect on your health.

When you go on a diet then your main goal should be to lose weight along with improving your overall health. If you lose weight in a healthy way then your appearance will also improve and your skin will glow.

Dangerous methods of losing weight:
Many people do not realize but the obsession to lose weight may push them towards harmful methods such as anorexia, bulimia as well as binge eating. Bulimics resort to forced vomiting and increased use of laxatives and diuretics to lose weight quickly. Can you imagine what effect that would have on your body?

The best way to lose weight is to form a healthy diet plan and indulge in physical activities.
