Week two of boot camp was all about active recovery!
It’s not uncommon to head to the gym only stand and wait for the machine you want to use. Instead of de-railing your workout plan and trying a different machine, we learned about utilizing your wait time by performing “active recovery” exercises. It’s a great way to keep your workout going and you’ll burn a few extra calories, which is sometimes the difference between reaching your goals and falling short.
My favorite active recovery exercises are always ab exercises. You use your core in everything you do, and it’s one of the most common trouble spots on the body for both men and women.

Some other great “active recovery” exercises: jumping jacks, lunges, squats, push-ups- basically any body weight exercises are acceptable, so stop standing around and get moving!
