As we fly by the halfway point of boot camp, it’s time for another round of torturous food journals! I get a lot of great client feedback from the journal I created and I thought I would share the food journal with you, so that you can fill out your own!
I call this the “intensive food journal”(get it free by clicking the link) because it is fairly detail oriented and it includes reflective questions at the end of the
day to help you identify what you’re doing right and wrong, how you can improve, what habits you have and if you’re eating emotionally. The questions are one of the most important elements of the food journal, and they make it totally different than any other.
The great thing about this journal (of course I think it’s great, because I made it =] ) is that its basically broken up so that you eat the correct amount of small meals throughout the day. It also provides space for you to track your water intake and vitamins.
I generally challenge my clients to diligently fill out the food journal for 3 days in a row. This makes it less daunting but still allows you to see your patterns and give you an idea of what you’re doing wrong and right. It seems like a big task, but I can guarantee it will be incredibly beneficial for you to take the 3 days and fill it out. It’s only 3 days!
