More celebrity magazine bullshit. A confidence game is where one gains another’s confidence, allowing them to be deceived. So I find it interesting that Self Magazine titled their latest edition“The Body Confidence Issue.” This while materially altering the cover photo of singer Kelly Clarkson so that in my opinion, to gain the confidence of the magazine buyer.
It’s bullshit and it sends a very dangerous message to very impressionable young girls. I’m also told by a reader that another magazine used a two-year old photo of Jessica Simpson in an article meant to show how she recently lost ten pounds in ten days. Again, a confidence game. Don’t buy it unless you enjoy be deceived. Some people do.
