I have a growing list of places I would love to travel and explore. I absolutely love exploring new cities and taking in all the sights. When traveling I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle by bringing my own snacks, checking ahead at airports for food options, looking at hotel websites to see the workout facility, and researching running paths. Both Sydney and Melbourne are very active cities. You can walk to most places and it is beautiful. I was excited to have the chance to run in both places. In my opinion running, jogging, walking is the best way to explore and see a city.
Few tips and tricks I've learned when running in a foreign place:
1) Talk to the front desk before hitting the road to make sure the path you have chosen is safe and pedestrian friendly.
2) Bring you cell phone in case you get lost and of course to take photos:-)
3) Bring your own water, there might not be any public water fountains along the way and sometimes you think you are heading out for 30 minutes and you get so excited you stay out for an hour!
4) Make sure to check the cross streets of your hotel so you know where you staying in case you get turned around.
