Looking for some last-minute recipe ideas for Thanksgiving? I’ve rounded up some of my favorite TCL recipes, as well as, some other great ideas from around the web/blogosphere for some festive eats…

The Main Event:

• Mom’s Roast Turkey by Simply Recipes – this was recommended by blog reader Kat and is probably the recipe I would have followed had my mom not been around to show me how to cook my first turkey
• Good Eats Roast Turkey by Alton Brown – I totally watched Alton’s show on roasting turkey, and the man has some great tips. Here’s his recipe for roast turkey, but check out the show if you get the chance.

• Mashed Kabocha by No Recipes – a great addition to traditional mashed potatoes OR a healthier alternative to them
• Sneaky Mashed Potatoes (with Hidden Cauliflower) {TCL Recipe} – all the best flavor and texture of mashed potatoes with some cauliflower snuck in. Ssh…they’ll never know.
• Fluffiest Mashed Potatoes by Bon Appétit – if only I had a rice mill…but there are still good ideas for basic mashed potatoes in this recipe
• Skillet Millet Stuffing by Edible Perspective – a unique take on traditional stuffing

Vegetable Sides:

• Roasted Brussels Sprouts by Cooking in Stilettos – brussels sprouts get a bad rap. Once roasted, they are delicious.
• Vegan Thanksgiving Green Beans & Glazed Pecans by the Tomato Tart – a lighter alternative to green bean casserole
• Green Beans with Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette & Parmesan Breadcrumbs by Fine Cooking – reminds me of the green beans we had on Saturday but with two extra toppings that make them extra special
• Short-Cut Collard Greens by Ellie Krieger – I’ve made these a couple times, and they’re delicious. I especially love the use of Canadian bacon!
• Simple Sautéed Brussels Sprouts {TCL Recipe} – one of my favorite vegetable sides

Dessert:

• Easy Cranberry Soufflé by My Life as a Mrs – a fun play on cranberry sauce
• Tofu Pumpkin Pie {TCL Recipe} – a vegan dessert that my onmivore family loved
• Brown Butter Pumpkin Cake Cheesecake with Salted Caramel by Willow Bird Baking – if you’re feeling adventurous, make this dessert. It sounds and looks like something that will make your guests say, “Wow!”
• Pecan Cheesecake Pie by Never Enough Thyme – the best of both worlds in one dessert.
• Amethyst Cheesecake Torte by Chef Dennis – a beautiful & festive dessert
