Thanksgiving Recipe List

Good morning!


Thanksgiving is approaching quickly (!) and I like to come up with my list of things to make ahead of time. When my family gets together sometimes it can be up to 20 people – 30 people. We all contribute, and my favorite thing to bring is dessert of course :) Healthy desserts that is! Here’s a list of things I’ve made and what I have my eye on.

Whole Wheat Butterhorns

Recipe is from 101 cookbooks- I make these every year and fill them with poppy seeds. A good homemade side roll! And so cute :)

Pumpkin Gingerbread with Spiced Buttercream  (vegan- Oh She Glows)

I made this last year and it was a huge hit!

Pumpkin Pie Brownies

This is the best pumpkin brownie recipe EVER. Definitely making them again. I’ve already made them recently! So good.



This recipe right here is my favorite cookie. HEAB knows it too :) I always, ALWAYS get asked for the recipe and have people tell me how good they are.


I have my eye on this one! I like to make a quinoa dish every year, and I love the flavor combinations.

Green salad topped with walnuts, pomegranate arils, sliced pear, and goat cheese, with homemade poppyseed dressing

I made this last year too. Need I say more? It was so easy and delicious. But anything with goat cheese is delicious..

Pumpkin Cranberry Wreath   <—I’ve had my eye on this since last year. I am soooo making it!


As you can see, I like to go all out on Thanksgiving and its one of my favorite holidays. Being around family and good food is one of the best feelings, and everyone takes leftovers which is a good thing!


Todays Workout

My butt is nice and sore from yesterdays workout . This morning I woke up pretty exhausted and sore and almost skipped out. BUT I’m so happy that I didn’t. Once I started I warmed up right away, got in a good sweat session, and ended up doing better than expected. Sometimes its just a mental battle, and I always tell myself you never regret a workout. Even if its stretching and walking. Just move! And rest when needed :)

Friday Chest, Triceps and Cardio

* 20 min HIIT run + incline walking to round out 30 minutes of cardio

* Chest and Triceps:

- Wide Push Up: 3 sets of 15 (on toes) 30 second rest in between sets*

- Incline Dumbbell Press: 3×12

- Flat Bench Dumbbell Flies: 3×12

- Decline Dumbbell Flies: 3×12

- Tricep Bench Dip: feet elevated, 3×15

-Skull Crushers with dumbbells: 4×12

-One Arm Tricep Kickbacks: 3×15

-Overhead Tricep Extension: 3×20 SuperSet with V-Ups (abs): 3×15

-FlipGrip Tricep kickbacks: 3×16 (8 palm facing floor, 8 palm facing ceiling) Superset with Lower ab leg lifts on bench + Hip raise  (3×15)



When lifting, I kept the rest 30-45 seconds between each set and exercise. Definitely felt the burn!

Time to attack my to-do list.
