Tuesday when I got home from work I decided to take advantage of the fact that the sun was still out, even at a ripe 34 degrees!
I hit the sunny, chilly pavement wearing gloves, a hat, and some black apparel.
Good thing I had my gloves, although, halfway through my Raynauds kicked in… and my hands were in pain. THATS never a good time. Usually, I run with handwarmers (I’ve thought I learned my lesson… been stuck in bad situations in the past…) in my gloves, which doesn’t PREVENT this from happening, BUT does make it a bit more tolerable..) but couldn’t find any, and honestly I figured it wasn’t going to be THAT cold.
Here’s a pic of my PAINFUL, white, frozen finger….
I guess I shouldn’t complain…..google Raynauds and you’ll see worse pictures than this one…
My 2.01 run was great! My mind and body were feeling good, and I felt fast.
1mile: 9:02 9’02”
2mile: 18:51 9’49” +0’46
The last mile was a little longer, because I did wait at a crosswalk…. gah!
Anyways, I thought I would open up the end of this post with a question about gloves. Do you wear gloves when you run? If so, what kind/type of gloves do you wear?
