My mom then sent me off to the grocery store to pick up some staples since we were pretty much "running low" on everything. My mom absolutely HATES grocery shopping, so I offered to go for her. I figured it was a win-win situation - it would make my mom happy AND I could throw whatever I wanted into the shopping cart! I actually don't really blame my mom for her reluctance to go the grocery store - we have go so often - and usually she's the one stuck doing it! Since a majority of our grocery list consists of fresh fruits, veggies, and perishable refrigerated products, grocery hauls don't tend to last that long.
When I got back from the grocery store my stomach was rumbling (must've been all that food I was staring at...) I quickly threw avocado muenster cheese, lettuce, tomato, and dijon mustard onto a whole wheat sandwich thin, and paired it with a juicy peach and baby carrots.
Later in the day I got my hair(s) cut. I hadn't gotten one in about five months and boy was I due for one. Split ends no more, thank goodness! ...And at some point this bubbly goodness was consumed....I have no idea why but water just plain tastes better when carbonated.
For dinner one of my friends who lives close by came over and we had fun chatting, cooking, and soaking up some sun. (Well she soaked up some sun. Too bad my skin is incapable of holding on to any sort of color...my nick name is snow white. But actually.) We grilled up some chicken breasts, pinapples, red peppers, and potatoes and paired them along side a salad of mixed greens. After my friend left, I rounded out the meal with yet another slice of carrot cake mmmm. Alright well I'm off to watch a movie with the fam, tata!
