Sometimes, things are hard (yup…that’s what she said).
Sometimes it’s hard to remember that I’ve lost 40+ pounds and it’s easy to remember that I want to lose about 10 more.
Sometimes it’s hard to feel great about myself in a spin class where I’m working my bum off and it’s easier to look in the mirror and pick out every imperfection and everything I want to change.
I’ve had more than a few of these kinds of days recently. Mostly because post-marathon I’ve been focusing more on recovery and less on weight loss. Even still, when the scale doesn’t budge, it doesn’t feel so awesome.
Then I carry two 20+ pound bags home from the grocery store (yup, and weighed them when I got home) and had this moment of “this is what you used to carry around every day with you”.
And to not be carrying that around anymore – well, that feels pretty awesome.
Watch out friends, things are about to get real.
Like, neon spandex and LA Gear shoes real. What?

So, November – let’s go. I’m ready to sweat more than ever and eat lots of green veggies and feel pretty amazing about myself.
