Surviving Sandy

Posted Oct 29 2012 1:27pm

Well the lights probably will come back.  But soon enough to get your workout in?

The weather is slowly deteriorating here in Massachusetts and I am not sure when the power will go out.  Luckily, the town I live in, owns their own power company and it is fabulous.  We have much faster and efficient service than National Grid or NStar.  We rarely lose power (and if we do it is usually brief) which is a good thing because we are on well water.  This means no power, no water.  Which more importantly translates into no showers…and no flushing.

I am prepared, just in case things do not go our way this time.

Full tub= so many flushes!

So knowing my gym was closed for weather and it was too funky to run outside, I ran downstairs on my treadmill to get my workout in.

I  I love my running skirt  from!

I was constantly waiting for the power to short out (it didn’t) and I got in a decent run.

If you do not have a treadmill at home or your gym is closed, you might still be looking to get a good workout in.  It is possible without equipment OR power.  Give this a try!

Have fun!!

Question:  What do you guys do to prepare for bad weather?
