Summer Holiday Primer – Day 10 – Cut out alcoholic beverages

I know, I know boring right? But take it from me, someone who had to go without grog for a very long time while pregnant and breastfeeding, it tastes soooooo much better after you’ve had a break.

Corona-At-The-Beach Also…

  • Grog is a diuretic causing you to lose much of the lovely water you’ve been trying so hard to drink .
  • It offers no nutritional value, only empty calories.
  • You may pass out but the quality of that sleep is terrible. You need much better sleep in the lead up to your break, not worse.
  • I always binge when I have a hangover… always! Something about it inevitably leads me to dive head first into a pile of chips and gravy. Not great when you’re about to get in a bikini.

I’m sure you plan on having a few drinks on your holiday (I absolutely do) so make those glasses of sunshine even sweeter by laying off in the meantime.
