There is nothing better than fresh fruit in the summer. Am I right? Fall is spent eating apples, grapes and pears, and winter is spent eating oranges. While I enjoy all of those fruits, I get super excited about summer fruit season which includes berries galore! What fruit is in season in the summer?
Yum, yum, yum.
You can’t beat those options.
Oh, and I was kidding about the schnozberries. Obviously.
Strawberry season in North Carolina actually ended in May, but I consider May a summer month down here :)
Kiwi fruit season also ends in May, but again, May is a summer month in NC! In my opinion.
This morning I enjoyed three delicious summer fruits for breakfast. Kiwi, blueberries, and blackberries.
On top of Stonyfield vanilla Oikos yogurt. So cool and refreshing. Perfect for a 90 degree morning!
And that’s not all I had. I needed a little more fuel for the morning ahead of us. A toasted whole wheat English Muffin with peanut butter.
So why did I need all this fuel?
To start packing this guy! Our life will be going into a POD for a month. Thankfully we have three days to gradually fill it. We only lasted about an hour this morning because it was so stinkin’ hot outside! And it was only 9:30am! Unfortunately I don’t think any heat relief is on the way.
The past few days have been spent packing and trying to sell a lot of furniture on Craigslists, which is why I haven’t been able to post. Sorry! My meals have not been as regular either since we don’t have a lot of food and most of our kitchen items are packed.
As soon as we move I will be back on track with regular posts!
Many thanks for bearing with me guys! I may even have a really spectacular post coming up soon :)
