Hi Kimberly:
Sorry to hear about your burns. Good for you for realizing that nutrition is a key part of the healing process. I recommend continuing to eat as many fresh and frozen vegetables as possible in as many different colors as each color provides a different class of phytonutrients. I would also make sure you have adequate lean protein as protein is very important for healing. Healthy fat is another important factor to reduce inflammation. Eating cold water fish (salmon, cod, trout, etc) assures that you get both protein and healthy fat (especially Omega 3 fatty acids). Equally important as what you do eat during the healing process is what you don't eat. Avoid sugar and simple carbs in general as they can retard collagen formation and increase inflammation. For more specific information on superfoods, please visit my blog at bewellcoaching.wordpress.com and search for "super foods". Good luck to you.

I was burned with hot cooking oil 3 months ago and have reddish brown marks all over my legs. The skin texture is great but I am worried about these marks. I have been taking Vitamin C,E, and Zinc. Have also been putting Vitamin E on them everyday as well as cocoa butter and rose hip oil. But I feel I still might not be absorbing enough of what I need. What superfood can you recommend to help speed up the process if possible. I would sure like these to fade out. I understand fresh veggies like Spinach, Kale, Collard Greens is rich in Vitamin K. And I am adding these to my diet, and I understand there are a lot of Superfoods out there. Are they really benifical or would I be better off just eating fresh veggies. If so, can you recommend one? Or anything I should be taking that I'm not.
Thanks,
Kimberly
