Today is the Day! We start a challenge.
The plan . No added sugars. Processed, natural or otherwise. Low glycemic index fruit. No chemical “fake food” replacements either.
First off, I want to make something clear. I always said on here I am not into detoxes or cleanses. This was referring to those low calorie fad detoxes that can be dangerous. I am doing a sugar detox mainly because my sweet tooth has been furious these past couple months for one. Second, I do not want Ella to get sugar while I feed her…I think it will only be good for her. Third, it’s a tough transition from eating more while pregnant to trying to eat less and get back to my pre-natal weight and lowering my sugar intake will only help the cause. Fourth, sugar is so taxing on your body and to be the healthiest I can be I want to cut it out. Last summer, when I was looking all hott before I got preggo I really didn’t do sugar. Only fruits and some natural sugar. My cravings were not there. I am NOT eating a ton now, I don’t want you to get that impression…but it’s more than I want to consume. Another thing…I REFUSE to eat all the fake sugars out there added in foods. I am not that into stevia but it is the safest bet, so I am willing to use that if needed fro here on out, in moderation. Like in a home made raw vegan cashew cheesecake or something

Not a vegan one. Michael made this for me last night:
Salmon and Roasted Veggies
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
Prepare Salmon with lemon juice, paprika, ground black pepper and garlic gold sea salt granules (or just sea salt and a clove of minced garlic)
Place salmon in a foil pouch and bake for about 18 minutes, depending on your oven.
Cut up veggies of choice. I like asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and red pepper. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and roast about 20-30 minutes.
I will have a few really yummy vegan salads for you guys this week…..so excited!
Here’s all the people that said they were in or at least going to try! Whether it’s full fledged or just cutting out all added sugars for a week.
Think it makes it easier when there’s a support team! Some of you said you were tempted to join, so I didn’t know to add you to the list. If I missed anyone let me know…I have limited time on here so I may miss someone. I can always update my list!

Usually Memorial Day weekend we head to Atlantic City . No sure Ella is quite read for poker playing. My pool opens…not sure if I will go quite yet, but it would be nice to get my tan on! Not doing anything until Ella gives up the boob at least once a day to bottle feed. Not sure people would appreciate me nursing poolside :/
