Strawberries (a top ten "power food") are really cheap right now...even the organic ones. The problem is that they go bad super fast. To combat this waste of delicious food and money, I freeze a bunch of whole berries in a baggy. Then, when I'm in the mood for something sweet and creamy, the frozen strawberries make a special appearance.
Here's the concoction...
1/4 Cup fat-free vanilla yogurt (Weight Watchers has fiber!)
Skim milk or soy milk or whatever milk floats your boat
Approx. 8 big frozen strawberries
1 packet Truvia or Splenda sweetener
Toss everything into the blender & add the milk a bit at a time until desired consistency (I like it really thick so I can eat it with a spoon)
