Stop splatters with salt

When you sate or fry, does the grease and oil sometimes splatter on the counter, the teapot or even you?

If so, all you need to do is add a pinch or two of salt to the cooking oil - it will weight down the oil and prevent it from splattering. (Just make sure you do not add to much). Another thing you can do is try a splatter guard, made just for keeping oil in its place.
