Sprint Triathlon Training: Week 2

Sunday wrapped up my 2nd week of training for my sprint triathlon!  My week looked like this


Sprint Triathlon Training - Week 2:

Monday:  Bike - 1.5 mile warmup and then 9.5 mile bike ride (total = 11 miles) Tuesday:  Swim - Finding my workout pace and Swim Workout #1a (special thanks to TriCourt !) Wednesday:  Bike 42 minutes @ 15 mph Thursday:  Brick workout:  22 minute run (treadmill) / Swim Workout #2b Friday:  30 minute run (treadmill) Saturday:  Rest (in Boston) Sunday:  Rest (in Boston)

I am really loving this training, and it has been a lot easier on my joints than the long distance training I have been used to!  However, I still have the itch for running my first half marathon since my spring half marathon training resulted in an injury .  I am hoping to run one sometime in October, and I'm thinking about either the Atlantic City Half Marathon (October 16), Westchester Running Festival Half Marathon (October 9th), Harwich Cranberry Half Marathon (October 2nd), or the Boston Athletic Association Half Marathon (October 2nd).


Does anyone have experience with training for both a sprint triathlon and half marathon at the same time?  At first I thought I was being crazy, but since I'm running 2-3x a week already and also since biking and swimming are great ways to cross-train, I realized this wasn't the craziest thought I've ever had.  What do you think?
