Sporting Miles

It’s already Monday and there are so many things I am still not ready to believe…

  • The weekend’s officially over
  • I ran an amazing 16 miles
  • I ate Pizza for breakfast for the first time .. almost college style
  • It’s starting to get cold and the days are starting to get shorter
  • I’m going to see my Brother in Wilmington in a few days !!!

VOTING STARTS TODAY

Now that we really are back to another work week, or shall I say in my case a week of trying to find career work, lets take a trip down memory lane.

In remembrance of one of the best weekend in awhile….

Friday my mom and I went out soliciting for her race upcoming 5k race in December.  I will talk about in more detail in a couple of days. I then made my way into work where we were decently busy for a few hours later in the evening, eventually coming home around 10:00 to veg out before bed.

Welcome Saturday Morning!

I woke up at 7:00 a.m. because I knew I had a full day ahead of me and a lot of running to do. After drinking my coffee and eating a few Shock Blocks which are now my fuel of choice during runs :) I banged out an awesome… get ready for it…

16 miles in 2:03: 40 seconds. It was an unbelievable run. I think I held back tears a couple of times. The last 5 miles I ran with a smile on my face while rocking out to Kati Perri California Girls,because I desperately dream of being one haha, and Keisha, teenage dream, my guilty pleasure.

After my run I re-fueled with some Kashi cereal and a Strawberry Chocolate Protein shake, iced while driving to meet Bryan, and then went on a search for my new Garmin Forerunner 305 and a Fuddruckers …. both failures.

We settled for Chili’s. We were both starving and we did not want to eat fast food. I ordered the Club chicken Tacos minus the bacon, ranch sauce on the side with black beans and french fries. Hey, I ran 16 miles I can eat all the fries I want!!

We started off with chips and salsa along with my 2.99 blue moon on special. I was so excited, I love Blue Moon. Bryan ordered the Chicken fajitas sans onions of course.

Overall, the meal was pretty satisfying. Not what we wanted but made the cut and allowed us to get on the move for the Old Dominion vs. William and Mary Football game Saturday Evening.

Tailgating, hanging out, and pre-gaming was SO much fun! Afterwards around 1:00 a.m., no I’m not ashamed, we ordered 3 medium domino’s pizza’s ; pepperoni, bacon, and mushroom for me.

If I were to eat half of this pizza I would only be consuming about 560 calories. I could have eaten the whole thing but I wanted to be nice.

Bryan, Chewy, and I devoured some pizza then fell into a food coma. Well worth every moment.

Sunday involved Bryan time, Forerunner 305, Boat with family, football, walking the dogs and tons of fishing!
