Our inner ear consists of small fluid-filled channels that send signals of sound and balance to the brain and accordingly our brain works. Even a slight ear infection can cause meniere’s disease.     4) Deafness Deafness is a condition which affects partial or total hearing ability of ears. Often people also call it hard of hearing, hearing loss or deaf, when talking about deafness. Hearing loss or deafness may range from normal to profound depending upon which part of auditory system is damaged. Hearing loss is the result of impairment of the nerve cells within the ear which prevents ears to hear normal sounds.
