I love the days when I do strength training.
Workout My workout started off with 10 minutes on the stair stepper. I set it to 100 steps/minute and my heart rate was through the roof. *success* Then, I moved onto doing supersets. I did roughly 3 sets of each of these guys... -Assisted Pull Ups -Lateral Pull Downs -Bicep Curls -Reverse Flies -Shoulder Press -Squats with dumbbells -Tricep Dips -Pushups -Chest Press -Lunges with dumbbells The first thing I did when I got home was whip up a protein smoothie. Gotta rebuild my muscles. I used my brothers GNC Vanilla Soy Protein and I also had leftover pomegranate seeds, so why not throw them in my smoothie, right? Taking pictures was a hoot...thanks to a little someone named Sasha who was extremely curious and wanted a taste. She was beyond adorable. She stuck her head in the millet puff bag and then couldn't get it off. Just image a puppy walking around with a bag of cereal on her head. BAHAHA. Then, the millet puffs were sticking to her wet nose and it was the funniest thing EVER. I knew my dog was a health nut :) Pom Protein Smoothie Ingredients 1/2 Scoop protein powder 1C ice 1C water 3T pomegranate seeds 3T pomegranate juice Method Simply whirl everything in a blender or small food processor for a minute or so and vuala. If you like a little crunch, throw on some puffed cereal (I used millet puffs), or granola! What is your favorite post workout snack? Does your dog like obscure healthy human food? |
