Well, I’m sad to say that Danny’s jar  now has $5 in it :(

Unfortunately, I didn’t eat too well yesterday afternoon. When I got home from helping in Jaden’s classroom, I was feeling snacky, so I ate some Halloween candy…which lead to some more candy cane almonds…which lead to a s’smore (don’t even ask)…which might have led to more candy.

I know that I am to blame (well, of course, who elses fault would it be?)

My problem is that once I start snacking, I have a hard time stopping. A normal person might eat three pieces of candy and then be done, and not feel bad. I eat three pieces of candy, and then three more, and then reach for the chips. Then I feel super guilty.

But it’s a problem that I am working on and will continue to work on. And it sucked putting $5 in Danny’s bottle, so I’ll remember that. I’m trying to look at how far I’ve come (losing 30 pounds) rather than focusing on one bad afternoon.

Moving on…

In total randomness, the other day on Janae’s blog , she mentioned her husband buying a sweater with elbow patches that she loved. It’s funny, because I actually bought a cardigan with elbow patches a few weeks ago at TJMaxx.

Way too happy about my elbow patches:

I fell in love with it and have been wearing it all the time. I love the elbow patches, and I told Danny that they make me feel like a little old man.

Today’s Workout

  • 3.07 miles treadmill

Total Pile on the Miles: 15.32 miles

I really wanted to stay in bed this morning, but I finally dragged myself to the gym. I ran/walked 3.07 miles, and now I’m home and about to get ready for my cousin’s baby shower.

Then this evening, we’re going to Gordon Biersch for my sister-in-law’s birthday. Hello, garlic fries!
