Simple Roasted Garlic Broccoli

I feel like a kid in a candy store... only the lollipops and peppermint patties bear a strong resemblance to garlic and broccoli. Ahem, roasted garlic and broccoli. I can't believe I just met roasted broccoli this past weekend... I'm so in love. Thankfully, so is Brett... with me and the roasted broccoli.
Simple Roasted Garlic Broccoli
A BIG thanks to my cousin, Elise, for schooling me on this SUPER easy recipe. If I can make this happen... so can you.

What You'll Need:
2 servings of broccoli florets; fresh or frozen (substitute asparagus or be creative with another veggie)
1-2 garlic cloves
Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) to lightly coat broccoli
Salt and pepper to taste (Use sea salt or skip the salt altogether if you don't need to refuel your sodium levels.)

What You'll Do:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with foil and place broccoli on the sheet. Lightly coat broccoli with EVOO. Finely slice the garlic cloves and spread over broccoli. Salt and pepper to taste. I prefer fresh ground black pepper... YUM.

Place broccoli in the oven for approximately 20 minutes flipping the florets every 5-7 minutes to encourage browning. Broccoli is ready when it's bright green with slightly brown and crispy edges. p.s. The garlic is AH-MAZ-ING. In conclusion, Roasted Garlic Broccoli is <---Yes, I just said that.
