This morning I wanted to share one of my favorite French Toast recipes with you all! I love making this on Sunday mornings or on a cold morning like today and staying in my pajamas while reading a good book or all of your awesome blogs!
This recipe is so simple but will result in fluffy and delicious French Toast that is ready in a matter of minutes!
2/3 cup milk
1 tbs vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1.5 tbs cinnamon sugar
Slices of thick whole wheat bread
Mix together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon sugar in a bowl.
Spray a pan with non-stick cooking spray and heat over medium high heat on your stove.
Simply dip a slice of your bread into the liquid mixture and be sure to allow the slice to absorb the mixture on both sides.
Transfer to the pan and cook until slightly brown/crispy on each side.
Top with your favorite sugar free syrup, fruit, powdered sugar, dark chocolate chips (my favorite), or whatever else you might have on hand and serve hot!
