   Yummy food catered by Betty Nosh   My sister Heather, my mom, and I   My friend Holly and I - she is 27 weeks pregnant with a baby boy :) 4 generations of beautiful women :) Some lovely ladies of Alpha Phi :) Here is the story behind the above picture... The bear in my right hand is Bubba. I have had him from the day I was born - literally. He has been through everything with me. Growing up, Bubba would go everywhere I went. Sometimes that meant he got left behind - in movies, at ice cream parlors, etc. BUT he always found his way home. SO at my shower my mom was telling the story of Bubba. She then brought up how she started to worry about what would happen if Bubba got lost and couldn't be found. So she went on a hunt for a back-up Bubba. Little did I know, she found one, 20 years ago. She has kept it all this time - debating each time a major life event came up - turning 16, graduating high school, graduating college, getting married - if then was the time to let me in on the secret. Every time the answer was no not yet. WELL my baby shower was the time and she presented me with my very own back-up Bubba - whose REAL name is apparently Betsy! Little Emmalyne is going to have her very own Bubba just like her mommy. :) I can't believe my mom did this and kept it a secret for two decades - she is SUCH a special lady. :) Anyways, I am back in Texas enjoying plenty of puppy snuggles. I will be back on my 'normal' blogging schedule tomorrow! Hope you all didn't miss me too much ;) |

Saturday was my baby shower. My sister Heather and my niece Grace were the hostesses and they did an AMAZING job! My 85-year old grandmother was able to come in from San Antonio which meant a lot to me. I felt so blessed to have so many friends and family want to share in such a special day with me.
