Hello, friends! How is your Monday morning so far?
My sister sent me the above pic in a text and I think it pretty much sums up my Monday perfectly. Some days there’s just not enough coffee in the world…
I had a pretty full weekend. Saturday after I left you I headed out with big plans to make it to the gym, but I ended up at Discount Tire with a flat tire instead.
I hit a small piece of wood while driving on the freeway and, apparently, it did more damage than I realized. Luckily, there was a Discount Tire nearby and I had packed a sweatshirt (it was like an ice box in that place!) and a book (the one that creeped me out on Friday night) that I had planned to read on the elliptical. In the end, I walked away with a brand new tire and a warranty on the other three for if when it happens again.
I ended up finishing my book while I waited for my car to be finished. The book is called ‘To Heaven and Back’ and it details an orthopedic surgeon’s experience after technically drowning in a kayaking accident in South America. I’ve read a few near death experience books, and this one was definitely a page turner. My favorite by far though is ‘Dying to Be Me’ written by Anita Moorjani. Definitely check it out if you have any interest in NDE stories!
My Saturday night date went pretty well, although I definitely drank a little too much wine in attempt to calm the dating jitters. Oops! It happens to the best of us. Still, I had fun and it was worth feeling a little (ok, a lot) cloudy on Sunday morning. More details to come on the dating horizon, I would imagine!
Sunday morning I had brunch with my dear friend Libby at Tryst , then met up with Diana (one of my high school buds) for an afternoon kundalini class. I’m looking forward to attending the Sunday class more regularly and am so glad I found a friend who loves kundalini as much as I do! Last night I took it pretty easy with a little more reading while I caught up with ‘The Voice’ on DVR. A perfect Sunday night, if you ask me.
So far, it’s been a snuggle with the pups on the couch kind of morning.
Breakfast was my current fave:
Smoothie bowl with a waffle on the side for dipping. And coffee. Obviously.
The weather here has been gorgeous so I’m hoping to get a hike in before my volunteer shift this afternoon. Enjoy your Monday friends!
How was your weekend? Do anything fun? I want to hear about it!
