Sharing the Season’s Greetings

Posted Dec 11 2011 9:56am

I’ve just finished writing and addressing our Christmas cards for this year and I’m so excited. This is the first time in years that I am so happy with our cards. I’ve been looking forward to mailing these cards for weeks. I even stood in line for 15 minutes at our post office to buy the holiday stamps because I want everything perfect.

Why am I so excited about these cards?

Take a look.

This year we went with a photo card of Billy and Susie. Our look pet food store held a two-day event of Holiday pet pictures and I got the pups over there first thing. Then we had to select the photo for the card and I just loved this one with Susie on the sleigh and Billy’s big smile.

The cards are already to be mailed later today and that means one more thing crossed off the ever-growing to-do list. Later today I’ll be making the batter for my mini-bundt cranberry eggnog pound cakes. I promise I’ll share the recipe because it’s so easy yet it’s so impressive. I have about 30 to make.

And just to make sure that I burn those extra calories I’ll consume when I taste test a mini-pound cake, I’m following my 12 Workouts of Christmas.

This morning I did Leslie Sansone’s Slim Walk’s Four Fast and Firm miles to get in my cardio and some toning for the day. Talk about a brisk way to start your day. It was almost as good as coffee But I still had my usual two cups after the workout.

Have a great Sunday!
