Search terms and face masks

Posted Mar 03 2011 8:14pm

People find my blog by searching for some very interesting things. I’m pretty sure a lot of these people end up disappointed.

Some examples:

  • pasta sauce "strawberry yogurt"
  • turbo jam with indian food
  • sweat corrodes my pants
  • my date psychoanaltsed me
  • fisting
  • underwear drawer pics

Yep… sorry folks, but if your sweat is corroding your pants, I think you better stop Googling and get to a doctor pronto! My sweat may corrode new computers , but my pants are still just fine.

Many mornings I wake up and just automatically start making breakfast without really considering how hungry I am. It’s just part of my routine. However, this morning I woke up noticeably hungry. I’m thinking the weight lifting yesterday might have something to do with it.

english muffin with peanut butter and banana

I didn’t have the patience to wait for oatmeal to cook, so I quickly toasted an English muffin and smeared some peanut butter on top. A sliced banana and some re-heated coffee rounded out the meal.

Not only did yesterday’s full body strength training rev my metabolism, but I woke up sore this morning. Not miserably sore, which is good, but sore enough to know I wasn’t going to be doing any crazy workouts today.

Instead, I laced up my shoes and went for a walk after breakfast.

2.61 miles around the river listening to Jillian Michaels’ lastest podcast. It’s barely noticeable in the above photograph, but I also wore a face mask while outside to ward off as much pollen as possible.

Do face masks work? I don’t know—they are really popular in Japan this time of year as a method for preventing the spread of germs and aiding in allergy relief. I already had some masks I bought last year, so I figured if it doesn’t help, it certainly can’t hurt.

The walk felt fantastic.

Would you wear a face mask to prevent spreading germs? Many foreigners I have met say they hate wearing a face mask and won’t do it—I understand where they are coming from; The hot air I’m breathing out stays trapped in the mask/on my face and feels so gross on my skin.
