Scott & Sun’s Wedding

Posted Aug 29 2011 1:22pm

If rain on your wedding day is good luck then Sun & Scott should probably skip their honeymoon in Italy and head right to Vegas.   Irene certainly threw their months and months of planning for a loop but the couple was so thrilled and excited you barely noticed the weather.   The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Wainright House in Rye, NY.

The ceremony was short and sweet, and the views were spectacular.

Even a hurricane couldn’t take away from the moment as Sun & Scott said their vows and became husband and wife!

Shortly after we headed into the mansion for a cocktail hour full of delicious apps and cocktails.  My hands were occupied with said apps so no photos unfortunately, but the mushroom risotto balls were my favorite.

After the cocktail hour we found our table and the party began.

The new Mr. and Mrs. were introduced for the first time!

Speeches were made.

And dinner was served.

I ordered the Nobu Style Miso Glazed Cod, which was outstanding.

The rest of the evening was spent in typical celebration form.

The band was awesome and played some killer Gaga.

Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating with Scott & Sun and didn’t let a hurricane ruin the fun!

After an eventful shuttle ride home and a couple of hours at the after party we ended the night with BMB insisting that his Dominic’s grocery card was the room key for about 10 minutes.

Luckily we eventually got in our room.  Never a dull moment.

Yesterday we got stuck at the hotel for another night due to road and bridge closures, but made the most of it by visiting Scott & Sun at their house to eat and drink wedding leftovers.  We also got to meet their adorable puppy dog, Sugar.

Afterwards we returned to the hotel to eat pizza and watch some quality television all night long.

We’re currently hanging out at Meg & Greg’s apartment for a few more hours until it’s time to head to the airport.   See you from Chicago (hopefully).
