I never realized how much a change in schedule could really throw me off. I’ve been going in to work at 10 or 11a when I’m usually out the door by 8:30a. Last week was my first week and I was in training mode, but I’ll soon have a regular schedule so I’m not so dazed.
I’m a creature of habit so the next month or so with holidays and new job routines for Travis and I will be very interesting. I’ll be making more of a detailed day-to-day plan of action so I’m not going totally crazy, but we’ll see. I had aspirations of sticking to my 6a gym time and getting things done like errands, cleaning, studying until I go in to work, but we’ll see how that goes. I may have to push it back to 8 or so some mornings.
Since I didn’t have to go in until 11 this morning I headed to the gym around 8 only to find myself being one of three people in the entire place. It felt really quiet but I liked not having to use the elliptical with someone on either side of me. It gets cramped.
When I got home I had breakfast but didn’t get too fancy and had a sliced apple and PB on a whole wheat thin.

I added a dash of cinnamon to add some flavor. PB on toast can be on the bland side and I wasn’t in the mood for honey.
I’m currently working on a more detailed calendar for myself so I can be more precise in where and when I need to be on certain days. We have a lot going on in the next few weeks(as everyone does) so it’ll be nice to just pull it up. Instead of my normal post it note scavenger hunts through my pit of a purse.
I’m also going to make more of an effort to have a better blogging routine. Because of the new job and having Travis out of town I never got to post a lot of the things I had planned. I had a lot going on and a ton of work I wanted to get done with school and around the house so the blog was neglected. I didn’t finish my race post or my new Girly Things Thursday topics. I promise they’ll be posted this week!
Now I’m off to take Harper on a walk. It’s such a pretty day and since I’m not used to having a weekday afternoon off, it’s great timing;)
