Back to this morning…
The weather has been so nice lately here in Cincy that I decided I’d blog from the outdoors this morning. I awoke, packed up my breakfast, coffee and computer and traveled downstairs to find a place to set up shop.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t as warm outside this morning as it looked…too cold for my booty! I tried to hang in there but eventually called it quits and retreated to the warmth of my dorm room.
I managed to take a few pictures of breakfast and our lovely campus before coming back inside though.

It was nice to take a morning walk around campus and get a little fresh air. Girl needs it.
I am excited for later today because the boyfriend is coming to Cincy and we are thinking of trying out a vegetarian/vegan restaurant near here called The Loving Hut. I’ve been perusing its menu all morning– there are so many delicious looking options! The raw pizza and raw taco salad are making me hungry for lunch already!
As I have mentioned before , I am not vegan nor am I vegetarian– but I like to dabble in both types of diets. Aside from the health benefits, I like trying out different types of diets and cuisines because it’s just plain fun! I wish I could better explain this, but I feel that there is just something more interesting about eating pizza from a vegan pizza parlor than if I were to go to any old pizza place around town. Likewise, the thought of ordering a slice of vegan chocolate cake from a vegan restaurant is more exciting than going to a Kroger bakery and choosing the non-vegan version from there. This doesn’t stem from a health point of view– vegan desserts are no healthier, nutritionally speaking, than regular ones. I think it has to do more with the fact that I know non-traditional ingredients and new methods of cooking (or not cooking, for that matter) are going into the vegan food options. I don’t eat out at restaurants very often for two main reasons: one being that it is much cheaper to prepare my own meals; And two, because I’d rather prepare my own healthy meals than go to a restaurant and have to navigate the menu for something both delicious and healthy.
Fortunately for me my boyfriend, The Loving Hut looks to be fairly priced and definitely has healthy options aplenty!
Right now I’m off to the gym and then finishing up some homework.
