I was actually feeling very off and was extremely nauseous for the entire day. The only thing that I was able to keep down successfully was toast. At least, it was made with my favorite Trader Joe’s bread though.
The nausea was so bad that I couldn’t even eat one of these cute little pound cake desserts made by my mother.
How cute was her presentation?
By dinnertime, I was still queasy but very hungry (quite the combination). Since I had not eaten any vegetables and Michael was still stuffed from the cookout my parents had at their house, I made a very simple yet delicious salad.
It involved just a few key ingredients:
Trader Joe’s herb salad mix
Trader Joe’s corn and chile tomato-less salsa
Sliced red onion
Sliced English cucumber
Chicken breast (seasoned with salt and pepper)
I cooked the chicken breasts in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and then topped the salads with red wine vinegar.
Last night, our neighborhood put on a fireworks display. It was certainly festive, but it scared the Milkbones out of a little Lucy. She spent most of the night either pacing or coming to us for comfort and cuddles.
Just as the fireworks were finally starting to die down (around 11 pm), she managed to settle down as well.
Now that my appetite is back, I am super excited to meet Lindsay for lunch. Every time we get together, I learn that we have something new in common. Can’t wait to find out what other crazy connection we have today!
