In Russia and Bulgaria there is a simple tradition with raising children – the elders always help and of course, I was no exception to the rule and grew with the help of my russian grandma. I was too little to remember the period, but I’ve heard lots of stories about it. And believe it or not, but most of them were about a simple crust of bread. I used to love it and my grandma knowing it always kept a small crust in her pocket to silent me. Easy and effective. Yesterday I decided to pay a tribute to the grandparents that raised us with this simple rustic bread spread. Instructions:
1. Cut the sun-dried tomatoes to small bites.
2. Cover with delicious extra-virgin olive oil.
3. Leave them to absorb the flavors at least for 30 minutes.
4. Spread on the bread and add some dried herbs.
