During that time, I stretched and foam rolled like it was my job.
The foam rolling was SO painful but so worth it. My quads were so tight and the foam rolling was the only thing that seemed to alleviate the pain.
By Thursday I was itching to run and happily got up at 5am to run a quick and fun 3 miles.
And then I ran another 3 on Friday morning.
I ended up riding my bike on Saturday for a quick 20 miles and then this morning (Sunday) I ran my favorite 6 miler.
Gosh I feel like I am more in love with running post marathon then I was before. I am not quite sure why. Maybe it is because I conquered a distance I thought I could never do or the fact that I have more appreciation for a sport that fills me with such joy on a daily basis. Whatever it is……I love it
This coming week I want to hit the ground running every morning. My next goal is to PR in the half and do ride this ride in June.
