Running is my Passion; Writing is my Life

There are two places in my world that cannot be touched. One is when I’m running, or working out, or doing yoga. The other; the other is here. With my laptop; with my words. Running is my passion but writing is my life. It’s who I am; truly, completely and purely. It’s anything. It’s everything. And it’s the one thing I truly believe I was born to do, aside from all else.

Sometimes when life gets busy I forget to make time to sit and find myself within my words. I forget to get back to the place I feel like I began. So, with the boyfriend away at work and a glass of Shiraz by my side…I write.

My new lifestyle has trained my body to be up by 7 in the morning. If not before. So when I couldn’t lay in bed any longer I arose, put on my running clothes and out the door I went.

I had to throw this picture in, because I bought this moisture wicking shirt yesterday for $5! I’m proud of my bargain!

The trail was emptier than I thought it would be. It’s so warm out I thought I might see more faces but, it was also kind of peaceful out there with only a few others around.

After lounging around and eating lunch with my better half, I suited up for an afternoon yoga class at my gym. I love that they offer such a wide array of classes. After doing Body Attack yesterday morning, having run four miles this morning, my body was craving a deep stretch and yoga sounded perfect. When I came down the stairs David laughed, I think he thought my outfit was funny.

He snapped a pic.

I used to not believe in yoga. I used to think everyone who had a yoga “practice” was a little nutty. Until I went one day and my heart was changed. My body was changed…and I’ve been hooked ever since. I had never found my thoughts so clear. My body so free. And my mind focused. If you want to be at peace with your body, your soul, and your purpose in this life…I truly believe finding 60 minutes to practice yoga will aid in your journey. Sometimes I can’t believe I’m saying that.

I have been craving chinese food so I thought I should try making a stir fry tonight! As I have been trying to expand my cooking ability, or disability rather, I have been trying to make something new each time. Trial and error, right?

Well as it turns out, I didn’t do half bad! I used:

  • One green pepper
  • One red pepper
  • Brown Rice
  • Stir Fry Packet
  • Soy Sauce
  • Chicken Breast

Yum, yum!

I’m still sort of grasping the face I’m graduating with my Master’s soon!

Life is good.
