The romper revival has moved to the bedroom. We came across these sweet and sexy rompers from by Langley , which are a great addition to your wardrobe for Valentine’s Day. For loungewear or for bedtime, it adds a classic, romantic touch to your evening.

While rompers have been back in style for the past few years, these versatile and comfy onesies are now sexier than ever. From Marc Jacobs and Max Azria pulling them out of the closet for runway shows in 2009 to Chanel’s sexy white romper last spring, they are evolving from comfy, casual to chic. When women’s rompers became a fashion trend in the 1950s, they were typically used as beachwear or loungewear, and since then have evolved into something more fashion forward.

For me, rompers have a history of being not as fashion forward and sexy as they are today. As a kid raised in Florida, my mom, Nana and their friends wore rompers as beach and poolside coverups. Their rompers were terry cloth and overtime became tattered and worn by the sea salt, chlorine and sun. I still remember my mom’s white belted terry cloth romper, which overtime went from a bright white to ivory to an eventual gray fading along with the trend. And now, rompers are back in full swing again, just as popular as their debut in women’s fashion in the 1950s. Recently, I embraced the romper and invested in a strapless linen onesie from Anthropologie, complete with pockets and ruffles.

Vuluptuous bombshells like Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot took the romper and made it pin up worthy. The romper’s short shorts let these ladies show their sexy stems, while the cinched waist drew attention to their curves. Looking back in time at the vintage romper, it’s a sex symbol in itself, highlighting and celebrating the feminine figure.
