Decisions, decisions, decisions. We all have to make them. Some are easy, some are hard. I used to coach my management team on “decision quality.” It was a term we used often at my last job.
Today I had to make a small decision, but an important one. It was a decision that I probably won’t even remember next month, maybe even next week. I had to cancel my rsvp for a brunch event I was attending. It was going to be so fun! It was a cooking class and meal using all the local ingredients that we get in our CSA deliveries. I had been waiting for this event for a few weeks. But after being bed ridden for two days, I’m two days behind in studying for my first Science test tomorrow, and I knew what the responsible decision would have to be.
I’m still figuring out this new life of mine, and how everything fits. Heck I haven’t even started working a part time job yet. I am so privileged to be in a position where I have the opportunity to be in school full time. The least I could do is to put all of my effort into my studies.
Yesterday, I decided to roast every vegetable I could get my hands on, starting with breakfast. The morning started with eggs, some amazingly delicious toast with peach puree, coffee and roasted white potatoes and sweet potatoes.
Dinner was more roasted veggies. Ewww messy what’s that?
It’s a purple carrot! I roasted that, plus white carrots and parsnips, all local
