Rescue for A Frizzy 'do and Tired Face

While I am enjoying the long warm days of summer, which I longed for in the winter months...I gotta say, these humid days and staying-up-late-to-enjoy-the-extra-lighthave got my hair looking frizzy and my face looking puffy and tired.
Luckily, when I don't have the time or patience to struggle with hair treatments to tame the frizz and heavy concealers and brighteners and creams and powders galore, I have two quick and easy fixes.
#1, enter the sock bun. Yup, you read that right. Basically it involves a lonely sock with the toes cut off and a pony tail to start. It takes less than two minutes to achieve this fun, stylish look. Instructions are in this zany video by "Mr. Kate"

#2, enter my new best friend, Juice Beauty's organic CC Cream and line of vegan makeup by Alicia Silverstone. Silverston's line is found in pinky shades that make you look fresh, young, and like you aren't wearing any makeup at all. You look natural and oh so fresh.

I love how clean and light Juice Beauty products are. Made with only natural and organic ingredients that you recognize because sometimes you find them on your plate instead of on your skin. Let me tell you, it is well worth the price tag...which isn't what I'd call frugal, but the company does seem to have constantly running sales and promotions.
Check out my before and afters--taken in my poor bathroom lighting, but I think they still illustrate the difference:

As you can see, the Stem Cellular Repair CC cream brightened my skin while evening skin tone and covering flaws, it is a "12-in-one multitasker." Additionally CC cream has an SPF of 30 to protect against sun damage. When I put this product on my skin I couldn't believe how light it felt, how well it covered and how instantly I felt more lovely. What's more, all of Juice Beauty's products have a light, heavenly scent.
The Illuminating Eye Color , in Champagne, provided a slight natural looking hint of color and shimmer (though hard to see in the poor lighting of my photos.)
Alicia Silverstone's Irrisistable Glow Facial Highlighter and Purely Kissable Lipstick (which are good for all skin tones) added a natural looking flush and neutral pinky lip. I only used two other (not so natural) products on my eyes, cheap black liner by Wet N' Wild, and GinZing Brightening Mascara by Origins (love them too) in black, to finish the look.
When I use this makeup I don't feel made up at all, but what I do feel is lovely. Today, between the bun and the makeup I feel, honestly, I went from feeling tired and yucky to, well, a bit dazzling as though this is simply the way I wake up in the morning.
If you're looking for a product that will give you a pick-me-up and fulfill your desire for a chemical- free, vegan, and/or organic product that you can feel good about putting on your body, than look no more. This is it.
Clean and Refreshed,Tamar
