Redbox Fail

Posted Dec 28 2012 11:01pm

Hey there! :)

Does it not feel like Friday to anyone else? I swear, this holiday week has me totally thrown off.

I actually put in for a half day at work today – which, by the time I tied up loose ends with all of my patients, translated into actually leaving work around 4 pm. Getting off work two hours early does not a half day make, but hey, I’ll take it anyway.

When I got home I was exhausted (I didn’t sleep very well last night). I tried to take a nap but just ended up laying on the couch for an hour or so. I was feeling a little antsy so I got up, took the dogs for a walk, and then headed out for a short run. I headed out on the 2 mile loop around my neighborhood and stopped off to check out the Redbox selection on my way home.

The only movie that looked mildly entertaining was Wanderlust (with Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston – has anyone seen it?) but they only had it in Blue-ray which was no bueno for me, so I went home empty handed. Redbox fail.

Dinner tonight was a TJ’s mahi burger atop a bed of arugula with sweet potato fries.

I actually bought a couple sweet potatoes this week to bake and eat with dinners but, for some reason, I was really craving fries. I remembered I had a bag of frozen sweet potato fries in the freezer so I popped them in the oven. I accidentally left them in a little too long and the edges got burnt but they were delicious nonetheless. :)

I think the rest of the evening is going to consist of watching reruns of the Office on DVR. I have pretty much the entire season queued but I kind of lost interest after Steve Carrel left.

We’ll see if it can hold my attention or if I just end up passing out on the couch. ;)

Hope you’re having a wonderful evening, whatever you’re up to!

Kristi
