1 small container of sprinkles (I used 1.5 oz package)
-Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat and add marshmallows. Stir until they begin to melt, then remove from heat.
-Stir in the dry cake mix, then add the cereal so it is completely coated with marshmallow mixture. Sprinkle in half of the sprinkles and briefly stir. Don’t stir too much or the sprinkles will bleed out their color, which has happened to me because I was rushing.
- Press the mixture into a baking dish and top with remaining sprinkles.
- Let sit for at least 30 minutes before cutting. I find spraying a sharp knife with nonstick spray helps to cut them cleanly.
To make them a little fancy, you can add lollipop sticks on them and add bows to the stick. That was my intention when I planned on making these treats, but ran out of time.
Next flavor I want to try is with Nutella, yummy!
