raw rose dark chocolate in 5 minutes

Posted Aug 26 2013 11:42am

Who told you that chocolate was unhealthy?

I want you to seriously question that theory right now!

Yes, commercially made chocolate loaded with sugar and pasteurized milk is probably the least from a health food- but when you strip it all down and you’re left with just the raw chocolate in cacao beans- they’re actually an exceptional superfood!

Loaded with tons of magnesium- much needed for managing stress, the highest antioxidant content in the world (15x that of wild blueberries, 30x that of red wine), and the highest source of iron- very important for blood formation: HELLO- welcome to the BEST day ever!

Okay- so my sister, Evin Blis, is SO the chocolate lady.

Every time we are together, I find her sneaking off into the kitchen to create some high vibing cacao goodness.

She is the one that truly got me on to feeling as if chocolate is SERVING our health by being a carrier for medicine.

What medicine is that? Whatever you may need!

Whether it’s some brain enhancing reishi mushroom, some hormone balancing maca, or some essential oils you like- go with what you need in the moment. Today I went for something more feminine, floral, and girly.

I’ve also been trying to come up with ways to get the delicious chrysanthemum and calendula flowers into my temple, and I found out that chocolate was the best, most delicious, and surefire way to do so.

A lot of the chocolate recipes you see out there today call for some cacao butter or cacao paste..

While that type of real raw chocolate is AWESOME, delicious, and also helps form the hardened chocolate- it’s not completely necessary and you CAN make chocolate impromptu within 5 minutes.

So turn up some yummy dance music, call in your feminine angel guides, and get ready for a floral chocolatey medicina.

Impromptu feminine Rose Dark Chocolate

your ingredients
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup raw cacao powder (or less if you want a less dark chocolate!)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • ½ Teaspoon ground chrysanthemum flower
  • ½ teaspoon ground calendula flower
  • Rose Petals + Sea Salt to top

your instructions
  1. In a small stove top, melt coconut oil until softened. Remove from heat, and stir in honey, coconut butter, cacao, chrysanthemum, calendula, and rose water until fully combined. You can also blend this mixture if desired, or use a whisk.
  2. Add content to chocolate molds or any shallow dish.
  3. Top with rose petals and sea salt, and place in freezer.
  4. Done in 10 minutes!
  5. Keep these in the freezer until you want to eat!

You can find rose water in any health food store- probably in the personal care/face care section. {Also wonderful as a facial spray!!} If you don’t own the calendula and/or chrysanthemum flowers, add in a little bit of whatever is calling you in your house. Goji berries? Bee pollen? Almond butter?

Just remember- because this was an impromptu chocolate that we made, you are going to need to keep these in the freezer until you want to eat them.

CAUTION: will melt if left out!

So….either keep them hidden for a special day or… EAT EM RIGHT AWAY ;)

But for real, it’d be awesome to make these for a soul sis event, a girly night, or just to treat yourself!

The divine feminine which resides in all things resides in me today and forevermore. And so it is.
