Raw Coconut “First Date” Balls 

So I’ve been playing around with a few raw recipes that I’ve seen online and this is one easy recipe that I threw together and just had to share with you guys! It’s so simple, that once I tasted one of these lil suckers, the first thought that popped into my head was, “why did I not make these before?!” They’re easy to make ahead of time and store & they’re a perfect guilt-free treat to give your kids! ;) 


  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 3 medjool dates, pitted & chopped 
  • ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup coconut water 
  • optional: 1 tbsp maca powderraw cacao nibs

Chop up your dates and bananas (and maca/cacao if you like) and put into your blender/food processor/whatever you’ve got. Add a dash of cinnamon (or more) and 1-2 tbsp of the coconut. Add coconut water to blend until mostly smooth; a few chunks is tasty! 

Use a spoon to form circular globs and let sit in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. When they’re moldable and not so sticky to the touch, roll them in your desired toppings, I used the remaining shredded coconut for mine, but you could make cinnamon balls or use cacao powder to create new looks & flavors of your own. 

Freeze for an additional 30 minutes minimum or until a few minutes before serving. They taste a lot like a sweeter and funkier banana ice-cream. If you try out this recipe or create a version of your own, let me know! I’d love to see whatcha come up with! Enjoy! :)
