Good morning and Happy Thursday. Guess what? It’s still raining here. Our two-day rain event has turned into a four-day rain event. And today the rain is expected to turn into SNOW. Guess who hasn’t been to the grocery store? That’s right me! I am taking my chances that the rain won’t actually stick since the temps are in the 40s. Luckily if I can’t get there, we do have plenty of food in the house and can make do until Saturday.
I don’t mind rain, but we are now in the flooding stage. There have been rock slides, mud slides, etc. Some area schools closed due to flooding. This is our backyard. Tons of standing water and mud. It might not dry by summer at this rate.
Yesterday I took a rest day. I am planning to do two active days followed by a rest day for a week or two. Thinking this will help ease me back into working out from the surgery. Tuesday I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and it felt great. Today will be strength training and some cardio. Days like these rainy (possibly snowy) days I am super glad to have a mini home gym.
I have started taking Fish Oil in addition to my other vitamins/supplements. I found this statement about fish oil. “The health benefits of fish oil include its ability to aid in treatment of heart diseases, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, AHDH, low immunity, cancer, diabetes, inflammation, arthritis, IBD, AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease, eye disorders, macular degeneration and ulcers. It helps in weight loss, pregnancy, fertility and skin care (particular for disorders such as psoriasis, acne).” One of the reasons I waited this long is that most fish oil supplements are HUGE pills. I found these round “pearls” and love them.
One day I will list all my vitamins/supplements and the reasons for taking them.
