Rach's Baby Shower

Posted Sep 09 2011 10:36am
Ya know what I just realized last night?  Rachael is one of my longest-running friendships. She and I were in the same kindergarten class and have been friends ever since. We have always lived close to each other....about 5 minutes apart actually.  We both grew up in Lawrenceville, then went to North Georgia together in Dahlonega, and then moved to Braselton.  She is such a sweet, special person to me, and I really cherish her friendship.
{I love this picture of her!}
Anyway, Rach is 37 weeks preggo and going to deliver Baby Copponex any day! SO exciting!!  I could not be more happy for her, Greg, and gorgeous Miss Macy! We celebrated with a lovely baby shower last night at Fuego.  Chels and Laura came and picked me up....and we had a little trouble finding the place so we were a little late (shocker, huh?). Phone navigation can be tricky!! But at least we had lots of laughs on the way.
We finally arrived....and Rach looked gorgeous.  She said a little something to the group, and it was really a precious moment. I'm so thankful I was able to be there.   I didn't get her a book, (although I love books and LOVED that idea!)...  Rachael & her sweet mom, Mrs. Terry (whom my mom worked in the library with back in our elementary school days)...  I am so very thankful for Rachael's friendship and for her sweet family. She has such a cool testimony and is a GREAT example. You can read more about her story on her blog  here.
Praying for the Copponex family as they bring another precious life into this world...(I'm thinking it's a girl, and she'll make her appearance within the next week!) :)
P.S. Yes, this is what I was referring to when I mentioned my "wild night out" in my Friday Morning Adventures  post....I don't get out much anymore.
